I'm touched with compassion and happy to share, that this February our residents participated in Healing Hearts Across Borders “to bring healing for the body and hope for the heart to the poor in tijuana, mexico.”
"Healing Hearts Across Borders volunteers travel to Tijuana, Mexico four times per year to set up a free clinic at two different locations, including the makeshift village at the Tijuana garbage dump. We have a full-service mobile laboratory where we can do basic blood, urine, and stool tests, including diabetes screening and pregnancy tests. In addition to providing free medical and dental care, we distribute vitamins, food, clothing, toys, and hygiene products to the patients who visit our sites. We see over 1,000 patients on each weekend trip."
